We recognise that every child is unique, regardless of age, ability, culture, and religion, and understand that each child has individual needs. Our childcare services aim to help children realise their full potential by meeting their personal requirements through a differentiated curriculum in our day nursery and adapting activities where necessary to support early childhood education.

We are registered to take up to nine under twos in our Acorn room, however, we cap this at six children to provide a more intimate setting, with a staffing ratio of 1:3. This room is part of our childcare services and offers plenty of floor space for the children to access toys and a messy activity area. The sleep room is attached to the main playroom, where each child has their own cot and bedding, ensuring a comfortable environment for early childhood education.
The Acorn room features its own garden play area with access to push-along and ride-on toys, sand, water, a climbing cube, and a mud kitchen. Outdoor play is a vital aspect of our day nursery, so parents are encouraged to provide suitable clothing for these activities, allowing us to make the most of the fresh air and outdoor resources. Parents also have the option to let their child sleep outside in a pram if they wish.
Our daily routine follows each child’s individual needs, including their feeding and sleeping patterns. Every child has their own book that records how much they have eaten throughout the day, their sleep times, nappy changes, and details about what they have been doing. We ask parents to provide their preferred nappies, wipes, and creams for nappy changes, which are labeled with your child’s name and stored in our changing room.

In Oak Trees, our day nursery can accommodate up to 26 children aged between 2 and 4 years old. We maintain specific staffing ratios for our childcare services: our two-year-olds benefit from a ratio of 1:5, while the 3+ year olds have a ratio of 1:8. The room provides a tranquil space where children can explore the home corner or cozy up with a book in calming lighting.
Alternatively, children can engage in more active, creative, and physical play leading to our beautiful outdoor space. They have access to fine manipulative activities, messy play, sand, water, and construction activities, alongside cooking and art and craft projects. The Oak Trees environment allows for free flow from inside to outside within a secure play area that caters to the seven areas of The Early Years Foundation Stage, essential in early childhood education.
Additionally, the Oak Trees have the opportunity to explore our Forest School area during weekly sessions, where they can partake in specific Forest School activities, from exploring nature to building dens and engaging in risk-taking activities such as den and fire building.
The first month’s fees for our childcare services will be collected by BACS transfer. Subsequently, payment for our day nursery is made by Direct Debit between the 1st and 9th of each month, or through a combination of Direct Debit, Childcare Vouchers. We also provide the 30 hours of free childcare for eligible parents, supporting early childhood education. Fees are reviewed annually.
